Join D. Price on a leisurely 6 mile stroll along the canal paths through Trebanos and Pontardawe taking in the autumnal colours and dodging the acorns!  On the way back there is opportunity for refreshments in the Pontardawe Inn before returning to the Leisure Centre.

November 30th White Rock to Swansea Marina and Return

C. Roderick (Tel: 07811 505800) will lead this leisurely 5/6 mile circular walk starting at White Rock car park along the Active Travel Path with views of the Morfa Copperworks area to Swansea Marina where we will have a break for lunch.  Our return will be on the opposite side of the river with some road walking, steps and taking in another Active Travel Path before returning and finish of the walk at the White Rock car park.

December 14th The Red Lion Pub, Penderyn

R. Evans (Tel:  07790 667893 afternoon only) will be leading us on our 6 mile traditional Christmas walk.  This is a different way to the Red Lion avoiding the boulders.

Please note we are not allowed to eat our own food in or outside the Pub but there is a pizza facility with pods outside if you wish to indulge.

December 28th Glantawe Riverside Park

K. Shaw (Tel: 07790 538197) will be leading this 4 mile walk in the Pontardawe area.  Mostly a flat walk with one hill to go up and another to go down both of which are on tarmac roads.

K. Shaw (Tel: 07790 538197) will be leading this 5 mile walk from Rhyslyn Car Park.  This is mostly a flat walk on forestry track but there are short climbs.

January 25th The Scars of Mining

Hidden Llansamlet

February 22nd Towpath, Bus and Beach

R. Evans (Tel:  07790 667893 afternoon only) will take the lead on this 6 mile walk along the towpath from Jersey Marine in the direction of Swansea.  From Port Tennant we will take the bus one stop into the University Bay Campus, walk along a short section of the beach, through woods back to Jersey Marine finishing with refreshments in the Towers Hotel.

If lucky enough to have one, please remember to bring bus pass.

March 8th  Above Margam Park

B. Parsons (Tel: 07446 901825) will lead us through Margam Country Park to the highest point loop.  Views of Margam Stones, Stone Monument at the summit and stags of Margam.  There will be a gradual uphill climb.  Parking in the layby on A48 opposite Margam Park.

March 22nd Merthyr Mawr to Candleston Castle

C. Roderick (Tel: 07811 505800) will take the lead on this 6 mile walk through woodland, a field and a section of stoney track.  1 stile and a couple of gradual uphill climbs.

April 19th Ogmore by Sea

J. Fear (Tel: c/o R. Evans 07790 667893 afternoon only) will lead us on this popular 7 mile walk in the Ogmore Vale area.  It will involve a gradual climb near the start up the road to the golf club.
