Neath Walking Club was founded in April 1984.

Our main activity is a series of fortnightly walks with a variation in lengths of walks.

There are no subs payable for the year 2025.

Non members are welcome to attend up to 3 walks.

The objectives of the Club are:

  • To promote the enjoyment of walking as part of a healthy lifestyle.
  • To maintain, promote and support access to the countryside.
  • To promote public interest in the conservation of the countryside.
  • To promote the social gathering and interests of walkers.

If you wish to come along on a walk, please be aware of the Covid-19 regulations at that time.

The Country Code

Respect - Protect - Enjoy

  • Be safe - plan ahead and follow any signs.
  • Protect plants and animals and take your litter home.
  • Keep dogs under close control especially when around farm animals.
  • Consider other people.
  • In case of accident, ID and contact numbers should be carried along with a note of any medication being taken.

Important Information

Well behaved dogs are welcome by agreement with the walk leader.  No extending leads please.

Walkers must always wear suitable clothing, stout boots or shoes and carry waterproofs.   A small First Aid pack should also be carried.

A drink and packed lunch should be brought on longer walks.  A drink and snack should be brought on shorter walks.

A bottle of water must be carried.

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult - only 2 per adult unless by prior arrangement.

Some walks could be hilly and strenuous in places, please contact the walks leader if you are in any doubt about the difficulty of the walk.

Walks may be changed at short notice, and whilst leaders will exercise every care, it is important to appreciate that you have a responsibility for yourself and fellow walkers and attendance at any event is entirely at your own risk.
